They say indexing is good, but this is too much!

Well what a day, woke up for coffee went into the office, and found that my site was not running accordingly. A little investigation revealed that I was being indexed too quickly. I thought, how is this possible?Turns out that Alexa, Yahoo, Google, and 1 or 2 other minor search engines were going crazy on the site. Leaving a mess of everything because the server is prepared for users not "crawlers" on a havoc warpath.
To all the users that suffered this morning, I apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused you.
